How to put linoleum correctly
Let’s look at the technology of laying such flooring as linoleum. First of all, it is necessary to ensure normal conditions for work. The room should not have furniture and other items that will interfere in the laying process. Should not be in the premises and drafts. As a rule, within two days before laying and the same after it, the temperature in the room should not be lower than 18 degrees and air humidity is not more than 60 percent.
Linoleum should lie down in the house for about two days. At the same time, linoleum rolls that should be included in one batch must be installed vertically. It is necessary to prepare the surface of the floor and dismantle skirting boards. The floor should be dry. On top of the old linoleum, it is not recommended to lay a new one. If you planned to lay linoleum on a concrete floor, then it must be well cleaned of dust and covered with a solution of cement with sandbag.
But if you decide to lay linoleum on wooden boards, you must make sure that all of them are well fortified and the nails do not stick out. It is recommended to put plywood on top of the boards and attach it with nails. All joints must be darkened and cleaned with sandpaper. Next, you need to prepare linoleum. About 24 hours before laying, linoleum rolls should be laid on the floor and rolled out for straightening.
If you decide to fix the linoleum with a double-sided tape-mickel, then it should be glued around the perimeter to the base. The upper protective coating does not need to be removed. Along the walls, lay the chopped linoleum canvases. You always need to remember that it is necessary to take into account the bend of linoleum on the wall of about 10 centimeters.
