Floors are the most difficult surface in any room, subject to daily thermal, dynamic and other operational influences. In order to increase the strength characteristics of the floor, as well as get rid of the existing irregularities and achieve a perfectly even horizontal upper layer, the level of masse is used.
The levels -masses are complicated in composition, self -leveling mixtures that have a quick set of strength, excellent adhesion, plasticity and high ability to spread.
The mixtures presented in the construction market have differences:
1. By purpose (various basic surface):
— concrete slabs or cement screed;
— waterproofing;
— floating floors.
— heat — and vapor barrier;
— Warm floors having thermo -elements or pipes.
2. By the speed of set of strength and hardening.
3. According to the astringent component — polymer -cement components, cement, gypsum, resin.
4. In the thickness of the applied layer:
— thin — up to 20 mm;
— medium — 5/35 mm;
— thick — 20/60 mm.

Preparation of the base surface:
Advice! Despite the fact that the mixture is allowed to apply to almost any surface, it is better not to take risks and remove the wooden boards of the previous floor, parquet or other coating.

If irregularities and protrusions are detected more than 3 cm high, to shut them up and process these places with a grinding machine.

4. Needle roller. Its needles should be 2-3 mm longer than a bulk floor layer.
The mixture
Important! Carefully familiarize yourself with the instructions attached to the dry mixture, since various compounds require different amounts of water and have a different hardening time.
The alignment of the floor with a self-leveling mixture begins with the preparation of the level-mass, which is prepared strictly according to the instructions. Its ingredients are mixed in the specified proportions by a construction mixer.
Advice! Do not do work alone. The mixture freezes very quickly (10-60 minutes.) and during this time one person cannot do all the necessary actions.
Starting from the far corner of the room, the resulting composition is evenly poured.
With the help of a spatula, it is aligned. Alignment should be carried out quickly. During this process, the composition should be distributed throughout the processed area with the filling of corners and zones near the walls.
Advice! Having a room with an area of more than 25 m?, It is better to fill the floors in stages, visually dividing the room into several parts. This will greatly facilitate the work and allow you to prepare the mixture in small portions that will not have time to freeze in the container.
