We warm the walls with foam

For the correct, and most importantly effective insulation, a classic system is used — the facade insulation using a thin plaster layer. To do this, the thermo -insulating material (polystyrene foam) to a bearing or main wall with glue is allegedly glued. You can also add dowel to strengthen fasteners. After this procedure, a plastered layer is applied. There are three layers in this system:

Foam of certain brands that are suitable only for facade insulation (PSBS — 25F), this material is certified for the use of wall insulation in this technology;

The reinforcing layer, which consists of the adhesive composition of the mineral, and this layer is resistant to alkali;

Finish — protective and decorative (priming and finishing plaster decorative).

If you make wall insulation using polystyrene foam, then pay attention to the inheritance features:

If an open source of fire will affect the foam, then it will quickly burn. In order to increase its refractiveness, you need to use a special facade that in its marking has a prefix «f». This type of polystyrene foam burns only 1 second. To do this, during the insulation of walls using a thin plaster layer, the use of fire cuts on door and window openings, and inter -story. Owing is carried out not by combustible mineral basalt slabs.

It is worth noting that to use thermal insulation material, all the necessary fire tests were carried out for each trademark separately. According to standards, the entire insulation system with a thin plaster layer has a non -combustible class or abbreviation «K0». It is also worth noting the fact that the norms that relate to refractoryness when using anti -fire cutters, based on regulatory documents, apply to buildings that have more than two floors.

Foam has another feature, it has low vapor permeability, this moment is very important for the work of processes that are associated with the transfer of steam. In this case, during wall insulation using foam, take into account the material of the enclosing structure and, accordingly, its vapor permeability. If these indicators are high, then wall insulation using polystyrene foam is not advisable.
