To glue the carpet, you can use PVA glue, but it is better, of course, to take special adhesives on the dispersion of PVA. For natural carpet, water dispersion glue is suitable, for carpet and vinyl coating — polyvinyl chloride -based glue. If you lay a carpet with a jute substrate, it will be useful to find water dispersion with bactericidal-function additives.
Glue is applied to the floor surface. Then the carpet is laid and rolled with a roller in the direction from the center to the edges so that there are no excess glue.
Free styling.
This method consists in laying without gluing. It is used in cases where it is necessary to maintain the surface of the floor. Its feature is the presence of an air gap between the base and the carpet.
Stretching.
This method consists in laying the carpet on the rails located in two rows along the walls. Carpet coatings are driven by nails and stretched using professional tools.
What method of styling you would not prefer, always consider the type of pile and the direction of the carpet, the structure of the surface, the direction of lighting of the room.
