Entrance doors and their protective properties

To which, in addition to appearance and price, we pay attention when buying the front door? What is the main selection criterion for us when we are considering iron doors put up in the store or in the market? Inaccessibility, or as professionals say “hacking resistance”, is exactly what we need in order to feel in our own house (apartment, cottage, etc. D.) in complete safety and be sure of the safety of your property.

At the final stage of production, each door is subjected to the procedure for mandatory certification. In total, there are about thirteen grades of resistance to hacking (or hacking resistance). However, they actually talk about the first four. This is due to the fact that the requirements of the remaining nine are so high that the doors of these classes are installed mainly in banking storages. This classification provides for a certain, letter or digital, marking. For example, for an apartment it is better to buy class in or C, or dwell on classes II, III or IV.

If desired and the presence of a certain share of professionalism, you can hack any, even the most impregnable, door. The main thing is to have enough time for this and a set of certain tools at hand. When testing for hacking resistance, various, sometimes even unexpected, tools and devices are used. The testing takes into account the time spent on attempts to hack.

You should not be particularly upset if it suddenly turned out that you have a “zero” class door at the entrance. This does not mean she will succumb to the first simple manipulation. Even such doors have, albeit not very large, margin of strength. After all, other classes are inferior to them in other parameters and characteristics.

The canvas of the front door consists of a power frame, filler and sheathing. The box can also have certain features. As a rule, these are two sheets of steel welded to the frame-one. There is a large demand for design, the canvas of which is enhanced by stiffeners from the inside. Their location may vary: they can be located either in the form of a lattice, or diagonally, or vertically.

Strict requirements are made to the steel sheets from which the canvas is collected: they must be thick so as not to bend, and at the same time be light so that the loops can withstand the weight of the door. For these requirements, a sheet of alloy steel is suitable for no more than three millimeters thick. The kit should be included from two to four anti -convertible pins.

Their number of loops is determined by the weight of the door: if the door weighs less than 70 kg, two loops are enough, with a larger mass — three. Hinges with supporting bearings and non -axial loops are considered the best and most practical.

For greater reliability on the door, it is better to install two locks: leaf and cylinder.
