Japanese -style garden — an amazing phenomenon. Philosophy, nobleness and sophistication are associated with the national characteristics of the worldview. The most common religions in Japan are Shintoism and Zen Buddhism. They profess the idea that observation of nature brings closer to the perception of the laws of the universe.
In Japan, it is believed that all elements of nature are equally beautiful. Often the objects of worship are natural phenomena representing the elements. The Japanese very actively capture artistic ideas, complement them and endow them with other meanings. Surely this is why the gardens in Japan are concise, multifaceted and symbolic.
Traditional gardens in European countries are created to influence a person using aroma and color. Japanese gardens are designed to relieve the sensation of vanity and restore equilibrium.
The basis of the Japanese garden is the union of three natural elements: water, stones and vegetation — each of which is endowed with its special meaning. Stones symbolize everything related to the elements of the Earth. Water is associated with lakes and rivers. Small compositions created from plants imitate forest landscapes with their outlines.
Perhaps the most important detail are stones, as they give structuralness to the garden. Their location deserves special attention: you need to see the peculiarity of each pebble and choose a suitable place for it only for it. Stones are a symbol of strength and resistance. Their immobility evokes calmness, and unevenness and diversity are consonant with natural motives.
Water is the most dynamic element that creates the character of the garden, so waterfalls in Japanese decorative landscapes are quite common. They are located away from the dwelling, but so that the noise of water is necessarily heard. Large and uneven stones imitate a rock along which a waterfall flows. The channel of this flow is laid out smaller stones.
Another important water element is the pond. With it, you can expand and make a small space more capacious. A stream that flows into the pond will bring more dynamics into the garden.
The shores of the reservoir must be picturesque. They can be decorated with all kinds of herbs and mossy boulders. Often, small islands are made inside the pond, which are planted with plants and connected by motor.
Sometimes water is replaced with sand with wavy lines drawn on it. For such a drawing, you will need a plank with widely located teeth. A similar site of sand is a symbol of silence and peace. This is a great place for meditation, self -knowledge and restoration of physical and mental balance.
The vegetation designed in the aesthetics of the Japanese garden is mainly greens without cloth flowers. Preference in such stands is often given to pine, since it is a symbol of longevity. Be sure to have bamboo, as well as different cereal plants. Their modest appearance brings harmony into the overall composition. Such bright plants as magnolia, camellia and azalea are appropriate in the Japanese garden.
