Types of showers

Today, when repairing a bathroom, many refuse boring baths and install shower corners. There may be several reasons for this. Firstly, if the bathroom has a small size, then when replacing a bath with a shower corner, you can free up a little space and put, for example, a cabinet with a washbasin or a pencil case and a washing machine. That is, you can save a little useful area. Secondly, when taking a shower in the shower corner, the water consumption is much less than when taking a bath. That is, you can save water and, accordingly, finances. Well, thirdly, a rich, modern rhythm of life makes you save time, and the adoption of a shower in a shower corner takes very little time compared to the adoption of the bath.

There are a lot of showering options. They are square and semicircular, with plastic and glass curtains, with profiles of various colors, with conventional sliding systems and with bearings. There are also a great many options for decorative design of curtains. The standard dimensions of showers are 80 by 80, 90 by 90 and 100 per 100 centimeters. There are non -standard options, but they are available mainly on order and are quite expensive.

So, you decided to put a shower corner in the bathroom. Where to start? You need to start with size and shape. No matter how trite it sounds, but I often have to deal with customers at work, in whom the purchased plumbing does not fit on the place where they wanted to put it. Therefore, before buying something, please, measure it again well and think. It is not for nothing that “measure seven times, cut one”. It is clear with the size.

Plastic rain

Further the shape of the shower corner. The main species are square and semicircular. Here the choice depends only on your vision of the bathroom. Choose what you like more and fits into the intended design. I will only say that square shower corners are slightly cheaper than semicircular (with equal quality).

Further, the material from which the curtains of the shower corner are made (the frame itself is made, as a rule, from aluminum). The most common are plastic and glass. There are a lot of design options: from transparent to patterned. I can only say that for plastic most often they order such a pattern as in the photo on the left. Called from “rain” or rain in our opinion and resembles traces from the rain. Different manufacturers of showers of the name of such plastic for curtains can change and the pattern itself can change a little, but the meaning of the pattern remains about this. In addition, many manufacturers now apply all kinds of drawings to plastic — dolphins, fountains, etc. D. To choose from what.

Ravak curtain glass

We go to the glass. Glass for a shower corner uses only aquisite, high quality. Again, I repeat, I mean manufacturers of quality goods. What is high -quality glass. Look at the photo. This is not installation. In the photo a visual demonstration of glass with a thickness of 6 mm. For a shower corner of the Czech company Ravak. Why is it needed? The shower corner should be a completely safe place, and the glass should not burst if you accidentally clouded it or inadvertently poked your elbow. By secret, I will say that at many construction exhibitions, representatives of famous trading brands to demonstrate the reliability of their products beat quite a fist on the glass of their shower corners. I have never seen the glass burst. And one more very important point. This is a sliding system of the shower curtain doors. Most of the breakdowns are associated with this malfunction. Pay attention to how the sliding system is executed. If the shower corner is assembled at the outlet, do not be too lazy to open and close the curtain several times. The mechanisms should work smoothly and the door should move without distortions and jamming. From experience, showers of Polish production often fail precisely because of the breakdown of these mechanisms. But the mechanisms, for example, of the Czech shower corners practically do not break.
